Shipping policy

Last Updated: August 16, 2026

Origin Sculpture is committed to delivering every handcrafted sculpture with appropriate professional packaging and careful logistics coordination.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains our standard shipping coverage, international delivery arrangements, estimated timelines, receiving requirements, and responsibilities associated with large or custom sculpture orders.

Please review this policy before placing an order. Project-specific terms stated in an accepted quotation, invoice, or written agreement will take precedence where they differ from this policy.

1. Standard Shipping Within the Continental United States

Origin Sculpture provides complimentary standard shipping to eligible addresses within the Continental United States.

Complimentary shipping does not apply to:

  • Alaska;

  • Hawaii;

  • Puerto Rico;

  • Oregon;

  • Canada;

  • Remote or limited-access locations;

  • Offshore islands;

  • Locations requiring ferry transportation;

  • Areas outside standard freight-carrier service zones; or

  • Locations requiring specialized delivery equipment or handling.

Shipping eligibility will be determined using the delivery address and access information provided by the customer.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, complimentary shipping applies only to the standard shipping method and standard curbside delivery.

2. Curbside Delivery

Standard delivery is curbside only unless another service is specifically included in the quotation or order confirmation.

Curbside delivery generally means that the carrier delivers the packaged sculpture to the nearest safe and accessible point at the delivery address.

Curbside delivery does not include:

  • Unpacking or uncrating;

  • Moving the sculpture inside a residence or building;

  • Placement at the final installation location;

  • Crane, forklift, or rigging service;

  • Foundation preparation;

  • Assembly or installation;

  • Electrical or plumbing work;

  • Removal of the wooden crate or packaging; or

  • Disposal of packaging materials.

The customer is responsible for arranging suitable personnel, equipment, site access, unloading, handling, and installation.

Depending on the size and weight of the sculpture, several able-bodied people, a forklift, crane, pallet jack, or professional rigging service may be required.

3. Delivery Access Requirements

Before shipment, customers must provide complete and accurate delivery information, including:

  • Recipient name and telephone number;

  • Complete delivery address;

  • ZIP or postal code;

  • Residential or commercial delivery status;

  • Gate, loading-dock, or access restrictions;

  • Narrow roads, steep driveways, low bridges, or weight restrictions;

  • Appointment or security requirements;

  • Availability of a forklift, crane, or unloading assistance; and

  • Any other condition that may affect safe delivery.

Freight carriers may decline to enter a location that is unsafe, inaccessible, or unsuitable for the delivery vehicle.

If the destination cannot be safely accessed, delivery may be completed at the nearest accessible location or freight terminal.

Additional costs resulting from incorrect information, restricted access, missed appointments, storage, redelivery, address changes, or special equipment may be charged to the customer where permitted by applicable law.

4. Locations Outside Complimentary Shipping Coverage

Orders delivered to Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, remote areas, and other locations outside complimentary shipping coverage require an individual shipping quotation.

The shipping cost will be calculated according to factors such as:

  • Sculpture dimensions and weight;

  • Wooden crate dimensions and weight;

  • Delivery address;

  • Freight method;

  • Carrier availability;

  • Access conditions;

  • Required delivery equipment; and

  • Any expedited or specialized service requested.

We will confirm the applicable shipping charge before payment or shipment.

5. International Shipping

Origin Sculpture offers international shipping to most countries and regions, subject to carrier availability, import regulations, sanctions, export controls, and destination restrictions.

International shipping is quoted individually according to:

  • Sculpture and crate dimensions;

  • Total shipment weight;

  • Destination country and address;

  • Ocean, air, or ground freight requirements;

  • Customs documentation;

  • Standard clearance requirements; and

  • Final local delivery arrangements.

Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, an Origin Sculpture international shipping quotation generally includes the estimated international freight charge, applicable customs duties, import taxes, and standard customs-clearance costs available at the time of quotation.

The quotation or invoice will identify the shipping services and charges included.

Additional costs may remain the customer’s responsibility when caused by:

  • Customs inspections;

  • Changes in government duties, taxes, or regulations;

  • Special permits or licenses;

  • Quarantine or destination-specific inspections;

  • Port or terminal storage;

  • Demurrage;

  • Customer delays in providing documentation;

  • Missed delivery appointments;

  • Restricted delivery access;

  • Re-delivery;

  • Brokerage services outside the quoted scope; or

  • Other services not included in the accepted quotation.

Shipping availability may change according to international laws, carrier restrictions, regional conditions, or government requirements.

To request an international shipping quotation, contact info@originsculpture.com.

6. Expedited Production and Shipping

Expedited production or shipping may be available for selected orders upon request.

Expedited service is generally more suitable for:

  • Small or medium-sized sculptures;

  • Products with a relatively simple design;

  • Available materials and finishes;

  • Destinations served by eligible air or priority freight providers; and

  • Projects confirmed before production begins.

Large, oversized, highly customized, stone, or complex sculptures may not be eligible for expedited service.

Additional charges apply. Availability and cost depend on the sculpture’s size, weight, material, production requirements, delivery address, and requested timeline.

Expedited service is not confirmed until Origin Sculpture provides written approval and the applicable additional payment has been received.

7. Production and Delivery Timeline

The estimated total production and standard delivery period is approximately 9–12 weeks after final drawing approval.

This estimate begins after:

  • The required payment has been received;

  • The material, dimensions, finish, base, and project specifications have been confirmed;

  • The final CAD or 3D drawing has been approved; and

  • All information necessary for production and delivery has been provided.

The estimated period includes production and standard transportation under ordinary conditions.

Actual timing may vary according to:

  • Sculpture size and complexity;

  • Material availability;

  • Casting, carving, welding, polishing, or finishing requirements;

  • Custom base or structural requirements;

  • Customer-requested modifications;

  • Delayed customer approvals or payments;

  • Order volume;

  • Weather-sensitive production processes;

  • Freight schedules;

  • Port congestion;

  • Customs clearance;

  • Carrier availability; and

  • Events beyond our reasonable control.

The 9–12 week period is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date unless a specific date is expressly confirmed in writing.

8. Requested Delivery Dates

If your sculpture is required for an opening, installation, event, construction milestone, or other specific date, please inform us before confirming the order.

We will review the production and logistics requirements and advise whether the requested schedule appears reasonably achievable.

Exact delivery dates cannot always be guaranteed because freight schedules, customs clearance, weather, port operations, and local carrier conditions may be outside our control.

Do not arrange installers, cranes, contractors, travel, events, or site closures until the delivery appointment has been confirmed with the final local carrier.

9. Delivery Delays

If production or delivery is delayed, Origin Sculpture will provide available updates and work with the customer toward a reasonable solution appropriate to the circumstances.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • A revised estimated timeline;

  • Alternative shipping arrangements;

  • Coordination with the carrier;

  • Replacement documentation;

  • Further production or delivery updates; or

  • Another reasonable resolution intended to support customer satisfaction.

We do not promise a specific remedy for every delay because the appropriate solution depends on the order, production stage, carrier, destination, and cause of the delay.

Where applicable law requires consent to a revised shipping date or provides a cancellation or refund right because of a delay, we will provide the required notice and options.

10. Professional Export Packaging

Sculptures are packaged according to their material, dimensions, weight, shape, finish, and transportation method.

Packaging may include:

  • A reinforced wooden crate;

  • Protective wrapping;

  • Foam or other cushioning materials;

  • Internal bracing and supports;

  • Surface protection;

  • Moisture protection where appropriate;

  • Secured components; and

  • Handling or orientation markings.

Packaging is designed to reduce the risk of damage during normal transportation. However, customers must still inspect the shipment and follow the receiving procedures described below.

The crate and packaging should be retained until the sculpture has been fully inspected and any potential shipping claim has been resolved.

11. Shipping Methods

Shipping methods may include:

  • Ocean freight;

  • Air freight;

  • Truck freight;

  • Less-than-truckload freight;

  • Full-truckload freight;

  • Parcel service for eligible small components; or

  • A combination of international and local freight services.

The selected method depends on the sculpture’s dimensions, weight, destination, urgency, value, and handling requirements.

Final delivery may be completed by a local freight carrier that is different from the international or primary carrier.

12. Tracking and Delivery Appointments

Tracking information will be provided when available after the shipment has been collected or entered the carrier’s system.

Large freight shipments may not update as frequently as standard parcel deliveries. Tracking information may also change when a shipment transfers between international, port, customs, and local carriers.

For appointment-based freight delivery:

  • The carrier may contact the recipient by telephone or email;

  • The customer must respond promptly;

  • An authorized adult should be available at the agreed time; and

  • The unloading team and equipment should be ready before the carrier arrives.

Origin Sculpture is not responsible for missed-delivery, storage, or redelivery charges caused by an unavailable recipient or incorrect contact information.

13. Inspecting Your Shipment

Please inspect the shipment before or immediately after accepting delivery.

Before signing the delivery receipt:

  • Examine the crate for punctures, crushing, impact, water exposure, or missing sections;

  • Check whether the crate appears tilted, opened, resealed, or improperly handled;

  • Photograph all sides of the unopened crate;

  • Note visible damage clearly on the delivery receipt; and

  • Request that the carrier acknowledge the noted damage.

Do not sign the delivery receipt as being in good condition if visible damage is present.

If the driver does not allow time for a complete internal inspection, note any visible exterior damage and photograph the crate before opening it.

14. Reporting Shipping Damage

Visible or concealed shipping damage should be reported to Origin Sculpture within 3 business days after delivery.

Contact:

Email: info@originsculpture.com

Please provide:

  • Your order or quotation number;

  • Delivery date;

  • A copy or photograph of the delivery receipt;

  • Photographs of all sides of the crate;

  • Photographs of the internal packaging;

  • Photographs of the complete sculpture;

  • Close-up photographs or videos of the affected area; and

  • A description of the damage.

Do not discard the crate, packaging, damaged parts, labels, or delivery documents. Do not install, repair, refinish, move, or return the sculpture until we provide instructions.

Failure to report damage promptly or retain the original packaging may affect our ability to pursue a carrier or insurance claim. This does not limit any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Approved damage claims will be handled according to the circumstances and may involve repair, replacement parts, local restoration, replacement, or another appropriate remedy.

15. Installation

Unless expressly included in a written quotation, installation is not included in the product price or shipping service.

Origin Sculpture may provide applicable installation drawings or general technical guidance. The customer remains responsible for engaging qualified local professionals to evaluate and complete the installation.

The customer and relevant professionals are responsible for:

  • Confirming foundation and structural capacity;

  • Reviewing local building codes;

  • Obtaining permits;

  • Locating utilities;

  • Providing appropriate anchoring;

  • Arranging electrical or plumbing work;

  • Providing drainage and winterization;

  • Evaluating wind, seismic, and environmental conditions; and

  • Ensuring safe handling and public access.

Installation guidance does not replace site-specific advice from a licensed architect, engineer, contractor, electrician, plumber, rigger, or other qualified professional.

16. Customer-Arranged Shipping

If the customer arranges shipping independently, responsibility for the shipment, carrier selection, insurance, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination will be determined by the agreed written shipping terms.

Origin Sculpture is not responsible for loss, delay, or damage caused by a customer-selected carrier after the shipment has been transferred according to the agreed terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Any customer-arranged carrier must be capable of safely handling the sculpture and its professional wooden crate.

17. Changes to the Delivery Address

Address changes must be requested before shipment and are not effective until confirmed by Origin Sculpture in writing.

A delivery-address change may result in:

  • Additional freight charges;

  • Re-routing fees;

  • New tax or customs requirements;

  • Storage charges;

  • A revised delivery schedule; or

  • Cancellation and rebooking of the freight service.

We may be unable to change the destination after the shipment has entered international transit, customs processing, or final local delivery.

18. Missed Delivery, Storage, and Redelivery

The customer is responsible for charges resulting from:

  • Missed or refused delivery appointments;

  • Failure to provide an authorized recipient;

  • Incorrect delivery information;

  • Delayed customs documentation;

  • Inaccessible or unsafe delivery conditions;

  • Carrier storage;

  • Terminal storage;

  • Demurrage;

  • Redelivery; or

  • Customer-requested delivery postponement.

If the final location cannot be safely accessed, the shipment may need to be collected from the nearest freight terminal or transferred using a smaller vehicle at additional cost.

19. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss and title will transfer according to:

  • Applicable law;

  • The agreed delivery terms;

  • Any Incoterms stated in the quotation or invoice; and

  • The shipping arrangement confirmed for the order.

Nothing in this policy transfers risk to a consumer earlier than permitted by applicable law.

20. Relationship to Other Policies

This Shipping & Delivery Policy should be read together with our:

  • Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Limited Warranty Policy

  • Terms of Service

  • Payment Methods

  • Sculpture Care & Maintenance Guide

If a project-specific quotation, invoice, or written agreement contains shipping terms that differ from this policy, the project-specific terms will control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
