Craftsman polishing a large metal sculpture by hand in a professional workshop

Material & Craftmanship

Every material is carefully selected for its strength, character, and suitability, then shaped and finished through proven craftsmanship to support the sculpture’s form, scale, environment, and enduring artistic presence.

Material Mastery

Each bronze sculpture is developed around its form, scale, and installation environment. Our team reviews the casting structure, section thickness, and surface requirements before production, then refines the work through lost-wax casting, precision welding, and surface chasing. Most pieces retain a natural bronze character, while custom patinas, polished details and protective finishes can be developed to suit the sculpture and its intended setting.

Inside the Making

The Bronze-Making Process

Lost-Wax Casting
01
Clay modeling process for a custom bronze sculpture

Sculpting & Mold Making

The original sculpture is developed and divided into casting sections. Flexible molds are then created to reproduce its form and surface details accurately.

02
Wax model making for bronze sculpture casting

Wax Pattern Refinement

Wax replicas are carefully inspected, trimmed and retouched by hand to restore fine details and prepare clean edges for casting.

03
Ceramic shell making for lost-wax bronze sculpture casting

Ceramic Shell Building

The wax patterns are repeatedly coated with ceramic slurry and refractory material, forming a heat-resistant shell around each section.

04
Dewaxing and kiln firing of ceramic shells for bronze sculpture casting

Dewaxing & Kiln Firing

The ceramic shells are heated to remove the wax and fired at high temperature, leaving hollow molds ready to receive molten bronze.

05
Molten bronze casting process for a custom bronze sculpture

Molten Bronze Casting

Bronze is melted at a controlled temperature and carefully poured into the preheated ceramic shells to reproduce the sculpture’s form.

06
Grinding and welding process for assembling a bronze sculpture

Welding, Chasing & Patination

After cooling, the bronze sections are released, welded and hand-chased. The surface is refined and heat-treated to create the final patina.
