The project began with the client's existing concept and the intended setting: a contemporary sculpture that would create a distinctive presence at the entrance of a luxury villa. The human form introduces a sense of movement and presence, while the flowing contours suggest continuity, balance, and the natural rhythm of the body. Rather than presenting a rigid figurative sculpture, the simplified form leaves room for interpretation, allowing the viewer to experience the work differently from each angle.
Rather than replacing the original direction, the development process focused on understanding the desired form, proportions, and overall visual character. This provided a practical starting point for translating the idea into a three-dimensional sculpture.
For custom projects, having a clear reference does not necessarily mean every detail needs to be finalized from the beginning. A reference, sketch, image, or existing design can provide the foundation for further development.
Bringing the Concept into 3D
From Reference to 3D Model
Once the direction was established, the concept was developed into a three-dimensional model.
This stage allowed the sculpture to be evaluated beyond a single reference image. Its proportions, silhouette, volume, and overall presence could be considered from different viewpoints before fabrication began.

From 3D Model to Finished Sculpture
Fabricating the Approved Form
After the design direction was approved, the sculpture moved into physical production.
The fabrication process translated the three-dimensional model into a full-scale stainless steel artwork through forming, welding, assembly, and careful refinement of the individual components.
At this stage, the goal was not simply to reproduce the appearance of the model, but to maintain the intended proportions and smooth transitions of the finished form.
Achieving the Mirror-Polished Finish
The surface finish became an important part of the final appearance.
Mirror polishing requires careful surface preparation and progressive finishing to achieve a consistent reflective effect across the sculpture. The quality of the final surface can significantly influence how the artwork interacts with natural light and its surroundings.
Before delivery, the completed sculpture was checked for overall form, surface quality, and finish consistency.
